I love doing a bit of adult colouring books, I find them very relaxing. Normally I use fineliners as I love the bold colours. I have tried some pencil crayons but found them to look a bit pale and dull. But I was asked if I would like to review a few items from Hunkydory Crafts. They sent me out some beautiful Prism Watercolour Pencils, a pack of Waterbrushes and some Water Colour Paper.

Watercolour Pencils

When the pencils arrived I was delighted with them. They came in a cloth roll up storage, with a clothe flap to protect the pencil tips. There are 48 amazing colours. I couldn’t wait to get my colouring book out and try the pencils out.

They really really fab! They look a lot brighter then my current set of pencils, so was very pleased. And has these are watercolour pencils, adding a bit of water made everything look even better. I loved the way the colours can combine together and make a lovely ombre of colour.

Waterbrushes

I had never even heard of waterbrushes until I received some to try. These come in a set of three all in different sizes. I used the smallest brush with my colouring book. All you have to do is unscrew the brush head, fil with water and you are ready to go. Just squeeze gently to release the water and use over the top of your watercolour pencils to make beautiful pictures.

I loved these brushes so much. They made my colouring’s really stand out and I don’t think I will ever use coloured pencils by themselves ever again.

My Pictures

I am really impressed with the results and love that the colours aren’t dull and bland.

I highly recommend buying both the Prism watercolour pencils and the water brushes to add detail to your pictures.
