May Highlights
I really can’t believe we are in June already. What happened to May? It seemed to just fly by didn’t it? I had quite a good May. We went on lot’s of family walks and the weather was pretty nice most days.
May Bank Holiday
for the first May bank holiday we had a BBQ in the garden and got our pool out. It was a lovely hot day, and we literally spent all day outside. I even managed to take a rare photo of my eldest son, Ryan. He’s 13 and at that age when family photos aren’t cool. He doesn’t even join us that much when we go on walks, he’d rather be in his bedroom playing on is PS4.
Walk in Tansley Woods
We went for an afternoon walk one day after school through Tansley woods and found a rope swing. The kids had so much fun playing on it. Then we headed of to the park for a bit before walking back home.
My little Beaver
Aaron has been going to beavers since January, but it wasn’t until May he became an official beaver. He even went on his first camping trip and I got to have 2 nights of peace and quite. But I did miss him. It felt strange without him at home causing mischief
Whitworth park
Another one of our walks, this time to Whitworth park. Whitworth park is such a beautiful park and the kids love going there. Right next to it is a graveyard. I know this might sound a bit morbid, but I really like looking around graveyards. I was quite surprised to see how many people I actually knew that have passed away. Makes you appreciated life a bit more.
Anniversary Meal
For mine and my husbands 14th wedding anniversary we was invited down to the Remarkable Hare pub for a meal. It’s in the middle of Matlock and it’s been open for 2 years but this was the very first time that I have been in. We had a lovely meal and it was lovely to get away from the kids for a few hours.
I also have a 2-4-1 voucher for any main meal at The Remarkable Hare if you fancy it. Just click the link for the voucher. https://inf.pm/1ls. You can print it out or just show it them of your phone. It’s valid until 30th June.
We went to the circus
Yeah, we went to the circus. I have only been to a circus once and I was only about 5 so can’t remember much. My sister had some free tickets but was unable to go, so she gave them me. I had a lovely time. The photos aren’t very good as you weren’t allowed to use a flash. In the second photo the women is being held up by just her hair! And she was swinging about and doing tricks, I loved it!

My #LittleLoves of the month
Read….
I finally finished reading Wonder. It was a great book, highly recommended.
Watched….
On the telly me and the kids have been watching Britain’s Got Talent. We really love it. So much better than the X-factor. We have had a few movie nights too this month, so watch the new Jumunji, Ferdinand, Nut Job 2, Daddy’s Home 2, and a few horrors.
Made….
I made a Father’s Day card for my dad.
Wore….
My maxi dresses. I have a black one and an all over aztec print one that I have been wearing most of the month.
Heard….
Nothing new, just listening to Throwback Thursday on spotify.
And lastly….
Had a lovely May just hope June is as good. Again, nothing planned just walks and picnics I think.
