Staccups from University Games is another great game we have just added to our collection. This is a fast hand to eye co-ordination game. And you must be quick if you want to win. The aim of the game is to be the first one to get rid of all their cups by stacking them up.
But the catch is that you base colour of your cup must match the colour on the top of the cup. Not as easy has it sounds when you are playing against your opponent to be the first to stack all your cups.
The game comes with a base unit and 32 cups in four colours. The tops of the cups do come separately in the box, but once attached there’s no need to take apart again. Make sure you read the instructions has the coloured caps go on certain cups.
To start the game, separate the cups evenly between two player (slightly different if playing with 3 or 4 people), so each player as 4 cups of each colour. Place the base in the middle has shown below.
Then to start you press the middle button on the base. This is just to start you off so you know which colour cups you have to place first.
There are two ways to play. Both play at the same time and be the first to get rid of all your cups or you can take turns. If you cant’ go then you just miss a turn. The first player to get rid of all the cups is the winner.
This game is trickier than it sounds as you have to make sure that the colour on top of the cup matches the base of the cup you place on top. For example, in the picture below, the left side needs a pink cup and the purple side needs a blue cup. And when both players are trying to place a cup on the same side that’s where it gets fun.
