Can you believe we are in September already. The kids have gone back to school and I am slowly getting back into my routine and getting organised. The August Degustabox was a Back to School theme, so without further ado let’s see what was in the box.

You can watch the video of me here opening the box and seeing what was inside.

And here everything is :

Back To School Degustabox Review

Back To School Degustabox Review - refreshers - jellypots

Refreshers Softies

These are a new take on the old classic refreshers. My kids weren’t that fussed about these as they are quite sour and they all much prefer sweeter things. I couldn’t give them a try as they are not suitable for vegetarians, although my husband liked them

My overall rating

FruityPot Jelly Squeeze

We received two flavours of these. Orange and Apple & Blackcurrant. They were lovely. The kids all liked them and so did I. Yes, they are suitable for veggies! These are perfect for popping into your kids lunchbox.

Back To School Degustabox Review - Cadbury - Pick Up

Cadbury Curlywurly Squirlies

These are just like the Curlywurly bars you can by but in small squirls that are great for sharing with friends. Kids quite liked them, but they did get stuck in their teeth a lot has they are quite chewy.

My overall rating

Cadbury Dairy Milk Big Taste

My and my daughter Caitlin shared this, and even though it has whole nuts in, which she normally doesn’t like, she did like this. This was quite a nice little treat.

My overall rating

Pick Up Black ‘N White

We have had these before and are quite big fans of Pick Up. The Black ‘N White version is my favourite. Very yummy and just enough in a pack for us all to have one

Back To School Degustabox Review - Maggi noodles - tabasco - Hellmann's

Maggi Fusion Noodles

I received two flavours, Sticky Hoisin Duck and Fiery sweet Chilli. I had to search online for a while to find out if these were suitable for vegetarians, as it doesn’t say on the packet and I could be sure from the ingredient list. But i found out from the nestle website, that these are both suitable for veggies. They both were nice but the fiery chilli one was my favourite. And it was quite fiery too.

My overall rating

Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce

Still haven’t tried this one, but I bit unsure of it. I think if this is hot then it would be more suitable for my husband

My overall rating

Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise

To me mayonnaise is mayonnaise, they all taste the same. But I do love the squeezey bottle, much easier to get out.

Back To School Degustabox Review - Orangina - Halo

This was the first time that I had Orangina in a long time. I did like it, but it’s not as orangery as I remember it. But I do love the style of the bottles!

My overall rating

Twisted Halo

The flavour of this is Coconut Water & Ginger with Vodka. I still haven’t even tried this yet, so can’t say much about it.

Back To School Degustabox Review - Light Bites - Seabrook crisp

Light Bites Popped Crisps

I received two different flavours, Sweet & Smoky Chipotle and Pesto & Sundried tomato. Both are suitable for vegetarians and they are made from soya and chickpeas, so a lot healthy than normal crisps. and less than 100 calories per a pack. Both of these were really nice but the Pesto & Tomato one was my favourite.

My overall rating

Seabrooks Variety Pack

Another item I haven’t ate in ages. But these were even better than I remember them. We all enjoyed these. Love the crinkle cut of them.

Back To School Degustabox Review

And that is everything for this month. I think my favourite item was the Pick Up bars, Jelly Squeeze and both crisps. But also love the Maggi noodles, just wish they would say on the packet weather they are suitable for veggies.

  1. I absolutely loved the Twisted Halo, I love coconut water, ginger and vodka so there was nothing for me not to love..except maybe a bigger bottle ๐Ÿ™‚ I really enjoyed this months Degustabox there was a lot of tasty things to try.

  2. I love Hellmann’s mayo and its the only “name” brand I will actually spend a little coin on.
The only other brand I know here is Cadbury’s and they do make great treats!

  3. There’s so many good pieces in this box! I love Degustabox, but I stopped receiving them purely because I wanted to save the money I was spending on monthly boxes each month!
May need to sign back up now.

  4. This is my kind of box. I love seabrooks crisps as I find they have more flavour and the pick me up biscuits are so tasty. I’ll be interested to try the refreshers squishes as I love the drumsticks ones.

  5. This box is definitely a back to school one, with so many treats for the younger ones. The selection of products in the box is great and I like that there is something for each member of the family (like the coconut water with vodka or the tabasco sauce).

  6. Haven’t you tried the Tobasco yet? You must. You will fall in love, it is not too hot and not too mild at the same time. I like all the stuff in this box it, Cadbury hmmm.
