Introducing the new Playmobil Ghostbusters range!

Playmobil have just released their very first licensed product range and it’s none other than Ghostbusters! As Playmobil are a top manufacturer within preschool toys, it’s no surprise that this new range went down well with my kids. Playmobil as always been one of my kids top toys to play with (and mine) and the new Playmobil Ghostbusters range is awesome.

We were sent two of the new sets to try out. We got The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and Slimer with Hot Dog Stand.

It was a really nice day, we decided to open them and play with them in the back garden while my husband was busy painting the shed. We opened the Marshmallow man set first. He is around 19cm tall and has moving arms and hands. It also comes with the Ghostbuster Ray Stantz who has a proton pack and proton wand accessory for catching the ghosts and also his Ecto Goggles for seeing invisible ghosts.

The Slimer and Hot Dog Stand set includes Slimer who has moving arms and hands, hot dog stand with bike and accessories, hot dog seller and a silicone slime . The accessories to this include hot dogs and buns, burger, milkshakes, water bottles, fries, tomato and mustard sauces. The man figure that comes with the set is unshaven and me and the kids kept joking saying that he looked like my husband. So he is now called Des. The set has a parasol and price list. It has compartments that open to place the sauces, drinks and food in which I really love, as it’s just so cute!  There are four pieces of slime that you can place on the set to make it look like Slimer as just slimed the place. And I really like it that Slimer can hold things too.

Our Thoughts

Over all we all really liked the sets. I prefer the Hot Dog Stand as I like the cute little accessories. Caitlin likes the food and Slimer and Aaron liked the Ghostbuster and Slimer the most. The Stay Puft Marshmallow Man didn’t get as much attention from the kids as I thought it would. I am not too sure why, but I think it was maybe because he is so big and the kids are so used to Playmobil having smaller figures and parts. But I am sure any Ghostbuster fan would love him.

What do you think of the new Playmobil Ghostbuster range? Let me know in the comments.

  1. My sons just turned 5 and he is ghostbusters crazy! I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw that Playmobil were bringing out a range a couple of weeks before his birthday. He got the old fire station, complete with pole to slide down, and ecto-1 with flashing lights and the iconic siren. He was over the moon. He loves using the proton packs and traps to catch a ghost, and then putting the trap into the containment unit. Fab range.

  2. These take me back some years, I still haven’t watched the new film of it, they look like lots of fun xxx
