May’s Picnic Degustabox Review

Remember how I said my last month’s Degustabox was a bit hit and miss for me, well this month’s box is a total hit! May’s box is the Picnic Degustabox and has loads of yummy things in. And also contains my favourite alcoholic drink ever, so very happy about that. Watch the video below of me opening the box and what I first thought of it.

And here’s all the goodies together:

Inside the Box

Raw Bean

First up is Raw Bean. It’s basically coffee in a tea bag. I like the idea behind this, great for taking to work with you. The coffee it’s self was nothing special, just tasted to me like an average cup of coffee. I don’t drink coffee to often, but think I would personally stick to my jar of ground coffee.

Crabbie’s

I really love Crabbies alcoholic Ginger Beer, it’s one of my favourite drinks. I have tried a few Crabbies products and like all of them so far. This one is great to enjoy out in the sunshine while watching my husband struggle to get the BBQ going. Priced at £1.89

Zeo

I have never heard of this drink before, but it’s made with fruits and spring water. There are 4 different flavours, I received the Peach & Grapefruit. It was very tasty and it’s also low calorie and made with all natural ingredients. These are priced at £1.19 each.

MOMA Raspberry & Coconut Bircher Muesli

I didn’t think I would like this because of the coconut in it, but it’s not too bad. I would have much more preferred it without the coconut though. Little on the pricey side at £3.20, but does make great overnight oats.

My overall rating

Cereal Lovers

These come in 3 different flavours and I received the Forest pack. It’s all natural and are some clumps of snacking granola. I really like this and it’s great for a snack between breakfast and lunch. When I first saw it I did think it looked like dog treats LOL. They kid wont eat it because of that reason, they all think I am trying to trick them. These are £1.59 a bag

Candy Kittens

These yummy British style sweets come in 4 flavours – Sour Watermelon, Sweet Pineapple, Eton Mess & Sour Blueberry. We received the sour Watermelon. My husband really enjoyed these, the kids tried them but thought they were a bit too sour. I unfortunately couldn’t try them as they aren’t suitable for vegetarians. These are priced at £3.00 a bag.

My overall rating

Portlebay Popcorn

This popcorn is made in Devon and is made with 100% natural ingredients. There are two flavours and I received the Sweet Thai Sriracha. This was nice, but a bit on the spicy side, but not too spicy that I couldn’t eat them. I couldn’t eat these in one go like I normally can, which is pretty good for me. They are only 79p per a pack, so that’s not too bad.

My overall rating

Hippeas

This was the first time I have ever heard of Hippeas, but so glad that they were in this box as I love them and I can see myself buying these all the time. Hippeas are organic chickpea puffs. A bit on the pricey side of £1.50 a bag, but I would definitely stock up on these when they are on offer as they are really delicious.

Cadbury Dairy milk Peanut Butter Crisp

This was just so nice!! It had Diary Milk mixed with peanut pieces and crunchy pieces, peanut half’s and yummy gooey caramel. This was so good! Even the kids liked this and normally they don’t like thing with peanuts in. This is a big sharing bar and it’s priced at £3.49. Again, another item that I think is on the expensive side, so would only buy this when it’s on offer. But great for sharing when having a family movie night.

My overall rating

Millions

I have always been a big fan of Millions ever since they were first released back in 1992. These two new flavours are yummy! We have the strawberry ones covered with chocolate priced at 50p a bag and Sour Strawberry ones at 60p a bag. I liked both of these and so did the kids. In fact we was all fighting over these. I liked both but the chocolate ones won my vote.

Deli kitchen Skinny Wrap

I didn’t think too much too these wraps when I first saw them as they looked really thin. But they are stronger than they look and they also have a pointy shape making it really easy to fill and wrap without anything falling out. These also have just 91 calories in per a wrap. These are priced at £1.25 for a pack of 6.

Homepride Strong White Bread Flour

I haven’t tried this out yet, but being Homepride brand I am expecting it to be good quality. This is priced at £1.50
