My son was kindly sent out the Thomas & Friends TrackMaster Demolition at the Docks set to play with and review. Aaron (6) as always been a little boy who loves his cars and trains, so he was quite excited to try this Thomas & Friends train set. The track was a bit tricky for him to put together, so I did most of it, younger kids would need an adult to set the whole track up for them. The instructions to set the track up are easy to follow and each piece of track has a different number on so you know what is what piece.
Once up you can swing the cargo on Cranky to make it hit the warehouse and knock parts open, in which when Thomas goes around the track he will then ‘bump’ into the open parts. Thomas is motorised, so you can sit back and watch him go around the track.
The Thomas TrackMaster is suitable for children aged between 3-6 years so with Aaron being 6 he did get bored with this quite quickly. He wanted to make up his on track and didn’t want to have it the way it is supposed to go. But with limited track pieces he found this difficult. There are other sets you can buy along with more trains and extra track pieces. I think just the basic track is great for younger children and then great to buy the add ons as they get older. Aaron as already asked my for more track and trains and he does really enjoy this but just limited to what he can do with just the basic track.
See Aaron in the video below having a little play.
This Fisher Price Thomas & Friends TrackMaster set is called Demolition at the Docks and is priced at RRP £24.99
I received the above Thomas set in return for this post. All opinions are mine
This looks great, my daughter loves Thomas 🙂 xx
This looks great for a child slightly younger, maybe a 6 year old needs the next step up. Jo x
It’s a wonderful opportunity for your kid to play with toys and check them out. I’m sure he had fun.
We are just now out of the Thomas stage but between my two boys we have had every track made! This one looks ace!
We love trackmaster! Zach has had it since he was quite small and we add to it quite often. I still do most of the building for him but he will play with it for hours!

I had a few friends in primary school who were obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine, they would have loved this if it was around when we were significantly younger. Just reading this post is making me smile at how much they loved that little train. Hopefully you’ll be able to get the add ons so Aaron will have more fun with it!

My nephew would love this
My little boy is nearly three and I bet he would love this, nice and simple for him to be able to play with on his own.
My eldest use to love the thomas track toys but like you said with limited track they get bored easily!
Such a good toy review my son would love Thomas toys and I bet he would love this too
This looks great fun, we had something similar when we were children, many years ago!
This is exactly the kind of thing my friends kids would love as they’re obsessed with trains, and what kid doesn’t love Thomas? x
My son was a huge Thomas fan when he was younger, he had all the tracks engines bedroom decor books clothes trainers DVDs, he’s 12 now but would have loved this xxx
I want one – or maybe I should say I’ll get one for my nephew – He loves thomas
Hi !
Well this video looks like a lot of fun.
It´s one of those games in which children practice various skills that are good for them.
Space skills…
And I think it´s affordable!
