Ok, before I start this post, let me tell you a little secret. I have never, ever in my life been to a spa. To be quite honest I have never really had the urge to go as I am quite a shy person and I would feel a little embarrassed walking around in just a robe. But since I have hit my 30’s I’ve been wanting to treat myself to a lovely spa day and it got me thinking about what my perfect ultimate spa day would be like.
First I would choose a spa that isn’t too far away from where I live. I wouldn’t want to be wasting most the day travelling when I could be relaxing. I would go with my two best friends which are my mum and sister, we would have a lovely girly day together. The thing I would most be looking forward to would be a nice massage. I would love an all body one with some lovely lavender aromatherapy oils being used. I can just imagine it now, me laying down with lot’s of candles burning and maybe some relaxing rain forest music playing in the background. It would be bliss. I seem to hold all my stress in my neck and shoulders, so a deep tissue massage in these areas would be amazing.
After I would like to have a sauna and a nice facial with some really posh creams that work wonders for my complexion. I think my mum would love to go for a swim the most and my sister would properly most look forward to a manicure or maybe a makeover using professional makeup kits if they did that too. so even if we did do separate things while we were there we would all have something to eat together, maybe our favourite which is an afternoon tea. I love afternoon teas and could have them morning, noon and night. We would have a giggle and talk about our day and what we enjoyed. Then it would be back home and I’m almost certain we would be planning our next spa day together.
