I am a little bit late showing what was in October’s Degustabox, otherwise know as the Autumn box. But here everything is.

See me unboxing the box and my first thoughts on each product.

And here is a little photo of everything all together

On to the Products

Broiche Pasquier Pitch

I love this brand and there is nothing that I have had from them which I didn’t like. These area bun with a chocolate finger in the middle. These taste really nice slightly melted. There is only 4 in a pack which I wish there was a few more in. My favourite item from them so far are the Pains au Chocolat which I received in March’s Degusatabox. These are priced at £1.40

Yushio Snapea Rice Snacks

These where really nice, nicer than I expected them to be. So nice in fact that I ate the entire pack in one go! They are made from green peas and rice. These are priced at £1.99 for a 105g bag, but pricey, but would buy these again if I saw them on offer

Heinz Kid’s Pasta Shapes & Sauce

My kids couldn’t wait to try these especially because the pasta was shaped like little Minions. I normally buy cheap pasta for 30p a 500g bag and the shops home brand which is priced between 70p-£1.30 depend on which shop and which size jar. So these where quite expensive at £1.19 for the pasta which is 360g and £1.55 for the sauce. But to my surprise the kids didn’t like it. All 3 off them only ate a bit and left the rest. They said the pasta was chewy and tasted horrible and the sauce wasn’t thick enough and didn’t coat the pasta very well. Think I will be sticking to my cheap plain pasta.

Jim Jams Milk Chocolate Spread

This chocolate spread from Jim Jams is 83% less sugar than other chcolate spreads and is gluten free and diabetic friendly. This was really nice and the kids loved it. It’s priced at £2.59 and is a great chocolate spread to have instead of the ones full of sugar

Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme

This was gorgoeus! I love any kind of chocolate, and eat way too much of it. This one was cookies and creme flavour and tasted really nice. I actually ate the whole bar as soon as I finished taking the photos for this post. This is priced at £1.00

My overall rating

Maggi Fusian Noodles

I received two flavours, Aromatic Spiced Curry and Fiery Sweet Chilli. Both off these were really nice. Each pack contains the noddles then 3 sachets, the veg, the curry powder and some oil. These take just 4 minutes to make and are really full of flavour. You would never guess these come from a packet. These are priced at £1.39 each. bit pricey for me, but I would buy these as an occasional treat.

I received two of these soups in flavours Pulled Pork & Jalapenos and Supergreens. Obviously, I haven’t had the pulled pork one has I am a vegetarian, so this one my husband can try out, which he has done yet. So I tried the Supergreens, which I thought was going to be horrible and full of kale, which I don’t like. But this contains, peas, spinach, leeks, asparagus and is really moreish. I really enjoyed it. All of the soups are high in protein and help you to stay fuller for longer. These are priced at£1.49 each, again a bit pricey for me, but if I saw it on offer I would buy a few.

My overall rating

Beloved Fruit Heart Dates

i got all 4 flavours of these, Zesty Orange, Cocoa & Berry, Simply Divine and Rich Cocoa. These are gluten free and suitable for vegans and also one of your 5 a day. This is the first time I have tried dates. I liked the orange ones the most, but these are not something I would buy very often as not too over keen. They are priced at 75p each

My overall rating

Levi Roots Smokey BBQ Coat ‘n’ Cook

Another item for my husband. He hasn’t tried this yet, but I know he will really like it. It’s priced at £1.00

Robinsons Squash’d Orange

We go through a lot of squash in our house. So I normmaly buy the shop’s own brand as other wise I would be spending a fortune a week. But we do like Robinson and do have it now and again. I really like the size of these as it doesn’t take much room up at all. You could also pop it in your bag and just add to a bottle of water. It had a really lovely orange taste too. This is priced at £2.49.

  1. I keep umming and ahhing to get a Degustabox. Heard so many mixed things about them. Looks such a fab load of goodies and gives new ideas on what to make, but then depends on what people like and get in the box. I love the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme!

  2. I find your Degustabox reviews very clear and helpful, thank you, but I’m still not sure about them. Children are so particular I fear I would waste too much.

  3. I think I am going to take the offer on the first box & then do a 3 month plan for my brother & wife’s Christmas present as they would love this
