I received March 2016 Degustabox to review. This isn’t the first box I have received from them, in fact it’s the fifth and each one seems to get better! You can see my past degustabox reviews here.

This box seems to be really filled to the brim and I think it maybe the best one I have received, so far.

You can watch the video of me below unboxing the Degustabox and finding out what was inside

And here everything is altogether!

March 2016 degustabox review

It’s been almost 2 weeks since I received this box and so now that I have had the time to try out everything , I can let you know what I thought of each product.

degustabox - a2 milk

a2 Milk is cows milk but different. Unlike normal milk this contains only the easy to digest A2 Protein, hence the name. This was skimmed milk and we normally have semi-skimmed, so this was a bit more watery then we are used to. But is taste exactly like cows milk. You can also get this in semi-skimmed and whole milk too. My eldest son does get a few tummy aches after he has eaten, but we are still trying to figure out what is causing it. It maybe milk, so we might try this for a while and see if it makes any difference. This is priced at £1.39

degustabox - chewits

Chewits – There was 4 packs of Chewits in blackcurrant and strawberry flavour. My kids love sweet and Chewits are one of the ones we often buy. I love it when the kids get these as that means I can nicks some. I don’t often have sweets because nearly all of them contain gelatin , and as I am a vegetarian doesn’t leave me with much choice. But these are suitable for vegetarians, that why I sometime nick the kids. All three of my kids loved these but they like the strawberry flavour the most. These are just 35p each, so also a lot cheaper than other sweets.

degustabox - kallo

Kallo – There was two product from Kallo in the box, Quinoa and Seeds Multigrain Cakes and Milk Chocolate Rice Cake Rounds. The Quinoa race cakes have sunflower, sesame and pumpkin seed in them. I tried some with some soft cheese spread on them. They have only 38 calories per a cake and are nice for a light lunch or snack. The kids tried these and didn’t like them, but they are not over keen on seeds. These are priced at £1.89

Overall rating –

The Milk chocolate rice cakes where really nice. I great treat if you fancy something sweet but don’t want a full bar of chocolate. These are a much healthier alternative. I would buy these again for myself but not the kids. The kids ate them but were not that over keen. These are priced at £1.00

degustabox - lindt rabbit

Lindt – With it being Easter I was glad to see this Easter bunny. And so was my husband! Has soon has he saw it he said “I’m having that!”. He loves Lindt, and this one was a white chocolate bunny, his favourite!! He really enjoyed this but he did give me a tiny piece to try out. I have to say I love Lindt too and this was so nice. This is priced at £2.99

Overall rating –

degustabox - meze to go

Meze To Go is a sweet & smoky roasted red pepper and feta dip with some rosemary crackers. The dip was quite nice but I found the crackers quite dry. This is priced at £1.99. Ok as a little snack but a bit pricey. Glad I tried it, was nice but wouldn’t buy again.

degustabox - on the go drinks

Weetabix on the go drinks came in Blackberry & Blueberry and Strawberry & Raspberry. I can’t try these out as both contain the food colouring, carmine. Which is a red food colour made from insets. Yes, that’s right I said insets! And it’s in loads of food including these. I don’t know why they can’t use food colourings that are suitable for veggies. Any way, I have given these too my husband, but so far they are still in the fridge. He’s put of by the sugar content which is 12g. These cost £1.50 each

Overall rating –

degustabox - pains au chocolat

Brioche Pasquier have featured in a previous Degustabox I have tried, this time it’s their new Pains au Chocolat. These are just so nice!!! They are full with chocolate chips and running down the middle is a buttery thing, called crème pâtissière. I love their croissants but these are even tastier!! I really enjoyed these so much and will be buying them again. They are priced at £1.40 for a pack of 8

degustabox - parle

Parle also have two products in this box. The first is Monaco, which are savoury biscuits sprinkled with salt. They taste a bit like ritz crackers, but slightly more salty. I really liked these and found it hard to put them down once I had opened them. These are priced at just 39p

Overall rating

Next was the Hide & seek chocolate chip biscuits. There are India’s best moulded chocolate chip biscuits and I can agree. They were really nice and the kids where fighting over them. Just wish there was more of them. These are priced at 59p

degustabox - pipers crisp

Pipers Crisps where delicious! I love my crisps and these weren’t a disappointment. There where cheddar & onion flavour, and where not overly cheesy, just right. I shared with the kids while watching a film and they ate most of them. Would buy these again when they were on offer. These are priced t £2.00

degustabox - popcorn

Metcalfe’s skinny popcorn in cinema sweet flavour. I thought the kids would love these, especially Caitlin has she loves popcorn. But to my surprise they wasn’t that bothered about them. The popcorn I normally get you have to pop yourself in the microwave, so are slightly warm when you eat them. I think that’s why they didn’t like these as much. But on the other hand I really liked this, more then our normal popcorn. It is quite sweet, but that’s how I like it. If I was to buy myself some popcorn next time I watch a movie, I would choice this one. This is priced at £1.50

degustabox - -stuffing

Kent’s Kitchen stuffing. I received the Apricot, Apple & Ginger flavoured one. I love stuffing with my Sunday dinner and can’t wait to try this out. Yes, still not tried this one. Hopefully will be having it next Sunday. So will updated then. Priced at £1.85

  1. Fabulous selection of goodies
I’ve tried the weetabix on the go drinks and agree with your star rating
    Lots to try

  2. I must look into getting once of these boxes at some stage. I have tried those crisps before and they are lovely. I am going to have to look out for the brioche they sound lovely but anything with that filling is a hit by me. I have often looked at the weetabix on the go but never tried them, I really don’t think I will bother now x

  3. Any box that turns up on my doorstep containing Chewits and Lindt is a winner in my eyes! I had never heard of these before but it’s definitely something I will be looking into.
