I love jigsaw’s, don’t you? I have only done two jigsaws this year, but I am starting to find the time to enjoy this hobby, especially now the darker nights are coming in. When I was younger I had loads of jigsaws and often lent them from my local library. Tomorrow is National Jigsaw Day, so I’ll be spending most of the day doing what I love, jigsaws.
As part of National Jigsaw Day Wentworth Puzzles are holding a twitter party to celebrate. I’ll be joining them tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd November) and will be giving away one of the limited edition National Jigsaw day puzzle! These are not available in shops and are a great little keepsake marking this special day.
I was sent one of Wentworths wooden puzzle to try out for myself. The puzzle I received was the I Know My Map puzzle with 50 pieces. This is also available in 100 pieces and 250 pieces.
The great thing about these puzzles is that unlike normal jigsaws that are mad from cardboard, Wentworth puzzle are made from wood. This makes it suitable to be able to put together easily on carpet. And wood will also last longer that cardboard, if not forever. Another thing I absolutely love about these puzzles is that they are not shaped like ordinary puzzles, they are all random shapes with also some great whimsical shaped pieces thrown in. This one had shapes including The Eiffel Tower and The Statue of Liberty.
Here’s my finished jigsaw
And don’t forget to join me tomorrow on twitter (@SerenityYou) between 1-2pm, search for hashtags #NationalJigsawDay and #BringBackJigsaws.
