Two weeks ago I went to my very first blog event. It was the Crabtree & Evelyn Event at Nottingham to celebrate their new gardeners range.
Has it was my very first event I’ve been to ever, (even though I have been blogging for almost 4 years), I asked if I could take along my sister. We caught the train and headed to Nottingham. It took just over an hour to get there. I have never been to Nottingham before, so my sister had to help me, as she has been a few times has that it’s where her fiancé is from. We was supposed to meet outside the shop at 6pm, but we got there just after and everyone was already inside, which was very daunting. But we was greeted by a lovely staff member of Crabtree & Evelyn who offered us a drink. Cava, Bucks Fizz, elderflower and apple juice!
The new gardener’s range smells lovely. And they have 1/3 off selected products at the moment too.
We was also offered to try out the new gardener’s hand scrub. which I did. It left my hands feeling really soft and it had a lovely delicate smell
Here’s Chelsea from chelseapotter.co.uk trying it out.
Chelsea is one of the very first bloggers I have ever met. I also met Kirsty from kirstyralph.co.uk and Mel form Just Mel Kate. There was about 30 bloggers altogether, but I never got the chance to do much mingling (i’m quite shy).
The displays are really beautiful. I love the way they organize them by their scent and range too. Here’s the lily and iris range.
They also do a men’s range.
And tea and biscuits!!
Yep! I never knew that. We even tried some of their yummy shortbread out. And I must say, it was divine. They do jams and converse as well. So perfect for a nice afternoon tea party.
My favourite product I tried was the Venetian Violet perfume. It smells just like parma violets which is one of my favourite smells. They have some lovely gift hampers too. You can see in the below pic the Somerset Meadow and Summer Hill gift sets, which are really lovely. And yes, there is a photo of the baskets. I just love these. The best baskets to carry your items around the shop that I have ever seen. And yes, I am a little bit sad (so my sister says) that I was excited about the baskets and I was also the only one there that took a picture of them. But aren’t they great?

Me and my sister had to leave early to catch the next train back home. But we got a goodie back to take home.
In it was some hand cream in Somerset Meadow, which smells lovely and leaves your hands feeling really soft. This is £15, but I would definitely buy it again. Some nail varnish in Clementine, again, I never knew the Crabtree & Evelyn did nail varnish. I really love this colour and I am wearing it right now. A sample of Pear & Mongolia EDT, this smells so lovely, I will have to buy this one too.
I also received a £5 of voucher when you spend £25 or more in May. This can be used online at their website – Just quote code : MAY15R
Not bad for my first blog event. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to go to an other one.
And a Big thank you to Gemma at Gemms Beauty for inviting me
