On a Mission to ‘Knock Down’ the Toothbrush Holder
A recent survey commissioned by children’s toothbrush company, the Rockabilly Kids, found that a staggering 75% of parents had no idea that the toothbrush holder is in fact the third dirtiest item in the average household, even more unhygienic than the toilet seat.
A study by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) found that the toothbrush holder is the third-most germ ridden item in the average household (more unhygienic than dish sponges, kitchen sinks and even the toilet seat). The average toothbrush holder is crawling with more than two million bacteria cells – a highly alarming number! This fact is even more concerning when it comes to children.
Hamish Khayat, the founder of the Rockabilly Kids toothbrush said: “The results of the recent survey are certainly worrying, as it proves parents are unaware of just how unsanitary the toothbrush holder is. Although washing it regularly will help, it would be far more hygienic to eradicate the need for a toothbrush holder completely, and this is one of the core benefits of the Rockabilly Kids Toothbrush.”
On a mission to ensure teeth cleaning is not only enjoyable, but hygienic too, The Rockabilly Kids toothbrush is Europe’s first self-standing toothbrush. Inspired by Weebles, it will never topple over and therefore eliminates the need for an unhygienic toothbrush holder. Best of all, because the Rockabilly Kids toothbrush stands alone, it means that there is no worry that the bristles from two separate toothbrushes will touch. Meaning, if one child has a cold, the Rockabilly Kids will ensure there is no cross contamination.
It’s Time to Stand Up to Tooth Decay
A recent survey commissioned by children’s toothbrush company, the Rockabilly Kids, revealed that almost 50% of parents were completely unaware of the staggering news that 1 in 8 children at the age of three suffer from tooth decay.
The survey also reported over 50% of parents always have to remind their children to clean their teeth, with a further 35% sometimes having to monitor it. A third of those asked said that their children actually disliked cleaning their teeth, which certainly supports the brand’s mission to make this daily chore fun.
The NHS recommends that children clean their teeth for two minutes, twice a day. With this in mind, it is understandable that some parents may find this difficult to enforce on a daily basis, with battles seemingly being faced countrywide. Perhaps this is why in a recent survey by Public Health England based of 54,000 children, researchers found that 12% had already developed tooth decay before their tenth birthday. These children had an average of three teeth that were decayed, missing or filled.
Hamish Khayat, the founder of the Rockabilly Kids said, “This survey highlights the need for products, which support parents with the daily battle of making sure their children clean their teeth. Parents don’t want to spend their evening chasing their child round the house trying to convince them to brush their teeth. This is where the whole idea of our unique product originated.
He continued: “We asked 370 customers if our toothbrush encourages their child to clean their teeth, to which 100% confirmed it did. These statistics are quite incredible and confirm why our toothbrush has already had major impact on the market place.”
Dentist, Dr Nissit Patel, who is a great supporter of the toothbrush said: “The Rockabilly Kids toothbrush is fantastically hygienic as they do not fall over and also eliminate the need of a toothbrush holder. They are also great value for money, with three toothbrush heads included, there is no need to buy another brush for an entire year. As a dentist and a father of two young children, the Rockabilly toothbrushes tick all the boxes in terms of design, effectiveness and branding. We now stock them at the practice and our clients love them!”
The Rockabilly Kids Toothbrush claims the title of Europe’s first self-standing toothbrush. The clever design will never promising to entertain tots and adults alike, as well as eradicating the need for a tooth brush holder.
