I received a Melt & Make Chocolate House from Choc on Choc to try out with the kids.
This contains luxury Belgian milk and white chocolate buttons and moulds to melt the chocolate in, along with a colouring sheet to place your finished house on and a chef’s hat. This set is priced at £12.99.
This is so easy to make and the kids loved doing it. All you have to do is melt you chocolate in the microwave for a few seconds, then pour into the moulds. Then put in the fridge to let harden up.
While the chocolate is hardening up in the fridge, I got the kids to help me colour in the garden scene paper.
Once the chocolate has hardened, simply pop them out, and use a little bit of left over chocolate to make the house sides stick together. It’s like your using cement to build the bricks of the house, which the kids loved. But we did get a bit messy doing this, has the kitchen was quite warm and the chocolate started to melt a bit when we touched it with our warm hands.
Once built place on your coloured in garden scene and Voila. A perfect little chocolate house.
It didn’t last long at all!! The kids (and my husband) was so eager to eat it, that it was gone within seconds. I managed to grab a small piece, but I did get to lick the bowls out!
The chocolate is really nice and creamy. very smooth and tasty.
The kids enjoyed building the house and love the colouring sheet.
They got to wear a chef’s hat while making it.
Can re-use the moulds
Makes a great Christmas present
Easy to understand instructions
Comes in a lovely sturdy box
Price a bit on the high side – that’s it.
You can buy your very own melt and make chocolate house here and they also have a London themed set and a lollipop set.
I received the chocolate house set in return for a review. All opinions are my own
