Chocolat Chocolat – Trying Their Custom Bars

3 custom made chocolate bars from chocolat chocolat

I had the chance to make 3 custom made chocolate bars from Chocolat Chocolat.  The custom bars are £5.95 for one, £10.95 for two or £14.95 for three.
When you make a custom bar you get to choose your type of chocolate, like milk, dark etc. then up to 3 different toppings from over 60 different items, from chocolate buttons to marshmallows or from poppy seeds to popping candy.
for mine I went for –
  • Dark 55% with chocolate coffee beans, amaretti biscuit crumb and crystallized orange peel
  • Milk 34% with dark chocolate buttons, chocolate fudge brownie pieces and freeze dried raspberry pieces
  • White 28% with cappuccino callets, praline and silver flakes

I shared my bars with my husband and three kids. No one apart from me liked the dark chocolate bar, but that’s because I am the only one in our house who likes dark chocolate, so I got to eat this one all by myself. The coffee beans and the orange peel were really nice, but I couldn’t really taste the ameretti biscuit.
The milk chocolate one was nice, but two of my kids didn’t like the raspberries, But the white chocolate was everyone ones favourite. The cappuccino callets were delicious and the the silver flakes really set it off.
Overall I liked them all. But the white chocolate was my fav too.
Here’s my Aaron with his chocolate fingers.
Pros
They are handmade from scratch according to your order
The packaging is really nice
The chocolate is nice
There are loads of toppings to chose from
Cons
A bit pricey for average sized bars
Chocolat Chocolat don’t just do custom made bars, they do other things too like chocolate bouquets, buttons and hot chocolate drinks. They have a shop in Cambridge and also sell online
You can find Chocolat Chocolat on Facebook, Twitter and You Tube
If you could make your very own chocolate bar what would it be like?
I received 3 custom made bars in return for my review. All opinion are my own
