This one has special coloured hair that you can use with water to stamp the hair so it changes colour. I have seen these in argos and thought that they looked really good. They are priced at £24.99.
This doll is called Monet and she has very long brown hair with pink streaks. She comes wearing a green flowered puff dress with a pink shrug. She also has removable white and green trainers and green earrings.
The accessories that come with Monet are a stamp holder, 4 stamp heads – which are flower, heart, cloud and butterfly shaped, 2 hair grips, brush, a few rubber bands and some glitter hair gel.
My almost 5 year old daughter, Caitlin, loved this and couldn’t wait to try out the glitter and the stampers.
She loved the glitter the most because she could use it on her own hair as well. But we were a little disappointed with the colour change stampers.
It says on the box that you have to use cold water and simply place on the pink stand and it will change colour. Depending on the temperature of the room, it will then change back to it’s original colour when dry.
Here is what the hair looks like normally
And on the picture below we have use cold water. And has you can see didn’t make much difference
So we used an ice cube instead. Don’t place the stamper on the ice cube straight away otherwise the foam on the stamper with stick to it, wait until it starts to melt a little then do it.
And this is the results using the butterfly stamp and also my thumb print.
To be honest I wouldn’t buy this to use it has a stamp colour changing hair doll. My little girl wasn’t impressed by the colour changing hair, but she did really like the glitter hair gel. This doll would have been much better just coming with a few different colour hair gels or even washable coloured stampers.
I would rate this doll 3/5
