Me and my kids was recently asked if we would like to recreate our own version of ‘Sunflowers’ by Vincent Van Gogh. We was sent out some felt tips and art jar from Galt
The art jar was very impressive and there was loads of fun stuff in it
We printed the sunflowers template out and got to work making our own version.
we started by using some coloured pencils and felt tips to colour the sunflowers in. We lightly shaded the background in too. Then we added some of the yellow and green tissue paper from the Galt art jar to the flowers and leaves to give the picture more texture
I really enjoyed recreating this masterpiece, even more than the kids did. I can remember in school when I was 7 or 8 and we had to do a paining of the famous Sunflowers and we used sand to give it some texture.
The kids had lot’s of fun with the rest of the things in the art jar. They made some binoculars from the paper and stuck a few bits and bobs on to make them pretty
We was sent the Galt felt tips and art jar in order for us to recreate our picture. All opinions are mine and 100% honest
