Spaghetti Bolognese is one of my favourite meals. And this one is quite healthy as I use quorn mince instead of real mince. So it has less fat and more protein. I have also made Cheat’s Cottage Pie and Gnocchi Bolognese with Spinach using Quorn mince.
I love lot’s of onions and garlic in my spag bol,so I also add extra. I also love adding mozzarella, but if you’re watching your waist you can leave this out.
300g bag of quorn mince
1 large onion
2-3 garlic cloves
bit of olive oil
2 tins of chopped tomatoes
basil (fresh or dried)
1. Fry your onion in a little bit of oil until soft. Then add the garlic and mince. Meanwhile cook your spaghetti in boiling water.
2. Add the tinned tomatoes to the mince.
3. Add your basil. (I often use dried, but fresh is best). shred your mozzarella if using and scatter around.
4. Drain your spaghetti and place on the plates, add the mince on top and serve.
