10 Great Rugs That Won’t Break Your Budget ( 5′ x 7′ rugs or larger for under $200)

Whether you’re a renter or an owner, rugs are a great way to change your look without going broke!

Here are 10 nice big rugs I’ve found online (5 x 7 feet or larger) that all come in under $200. They’re not heirloom quality, to be sure, but sometimes you just want a fresh look and these will definitely fit the bill. Most of these ship to the US only, so I’ll cover Canada and the UK in another post.

I love the muted colours in this one, but they still add some pop to a floor! It sells for an incredible $53.98 for a 5′ x 8′ rug, and for the 8′ x 10′ size it’s a very reasonable $141.93.

If your look is a more traditional one, this 5’2” x 8’2” beauty might be just the thing. It’s $79.99 US. Not too shabby!

Looking for a great neutral rug? This 5′ x 7′ beauty comes in at $38.97. It also comes in a variety of other colours, if beige isn’t your thing. I like the subtle pattern, which is a little hard to see in this picture.

This fun rug from Mowhawk is $99.44 for the 5′ x 8. They also offer a 8′ x 10′ size but that hits a bit higher than the $200.

I can’t resist this – not only the chevrons, but this pure wool rug is $198.03 for the 5′ x 8′! I may have to get hold of this one for my walk-in closet.

What if you just want a nice big, fairly plain rug? How about this one? It’s 9′ x 12′ and comes in several neutral colours at $129.99. The pattern is called “ivy” and seems to be tone-on-tone.

If you have a sleek look (think Danish modern or an industrial vibe), this 5′ x 7′ rug would be incredible! It sells for $119.20.

Are you looking for something lighter and more playful? This one sells at $92.64 for a 5′ x 8′ and they do have a larger size as well that comes in just slightly over the $200 mark.

What about a child’s room that needs freshening up? Well, mostly what I discovered is that rugs for children cost only slightly less per ounce than gold! Ouch.  I found this playful beauty in the regular rugs section for $187.39, and it’s a wool blend so it should hold up to the wear and tear of energetic kids.

Finally, I looked for an indoor/outdoor rug as we hopefully head into spring. This one from Granville is 6’7” x 9’6” and comes in a bunch of great colour choices for $ 179.99. I can see this one in the space I’ve designated for a country cottage garden, but it would work just as well with a more disciplined patio area as well. It comes in 8 different sizes, including a big round rug.

That’s it! I hope my obsession with rugs that are both pretty and un-pricey (this should definitely be a word) helps you find the change you were looking for. My trouble now is that I want them all……
