Buttoned Crochet Scarf

Hi everyone. I’m Adele and I live in England with my two gorgeous babies, Leyla who is 4 and Naomie who is 3. I have followed Natasha’s blog for a looong time now and she always has such awesome stuff on here. I am so happy to be here and be a part of it every month ๐Ÿ˜€

I usually blog over at Mammy Made. I have tons of tutorials on there, along with yummy recipes and some homeschooling stuff.

Last month I shared a slouchy beanie hat pattern. This month I would like to share a scarf to go with it. I made this scarf for me, since my other one was looking a bit shabby.

To make this scarf, you will need an 8mm crochet hook and some double knit yarn. You will work the scarf holding two strands of the yarn together. This will make your scarf super warm and cosy. Oh, I should point out aswell that I am using american crochet terminology in this pattern.

Let’s get started!

Buttoned Crochet Scarf

1. ch16, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and across (15)
2-72. ch1, turn, work in back loops only, hdc in each st across (15)
73. ch1, turn, work hdc in back loops only of 7sts, ch2, skip 1st, hdc in back loops only of next 7sts
74. ch1, turn, hdc across in back loops only, working  hdc into chain space (15)
75-88. ch1, turn, work in back loops only, hdc in each st across (15)
89. bind off and weave in all ends
90. check the fit around your neck and attach a large button on the side opposite to the button hole

Very cute! I love my new scarf.

Thank you so much for having me and I will be back next month. In the meantime, you can catch me on my blog or on my facebook page/shop.
