Do you struggle to get your kids to eat all their vegetables up? My little girl Caitlin went through a phase of not wanting to eat certain veggies, even though she used to loved them before. So to get her to still keep eating these veggies, I hid them in her meal. Like this Cheesy Broccoli Mash. And it’s so easy to make.

All you need are :
Peel and boil the potatoes and in a separate pan boil the broccoli. It doesn’t matter if it’s fresh or frozen.
Once the potatoes are tender, drain and mash with some milk and butter. Drain the broccoli and add to the potatoes. Mash again. Sprinkle on cheese and stir in. Easy.
And my little miss ate it all up!

  1. Great idea adding broccoli to mashed potatoes! It sounds so good! My kiddos are pretty good veggie eaters for the moment but I love getting more bang for our buck with extra veggies in a meal!

  2. This is a wonderful idea! My son is in the same phase right now! I’m going to have to pin this one for later! Thanks so much for sharing and linking up with Countdown in Style! Don’t forget to come back Friday to see if you are featured.

  3. This is a really great idea! My daughter (who will be two next month) is currently boycotting veggies, so I am looking for ways to sneak them into her other foods. Thanks for posting this!
    Becky 🙂

  4. What a great idea…luckily my Kiddies all love broccoli (so weird because I don’t like it that much at all) so maybe I’ll use this to ‘trick’ myself into eating more of it. LOL
